The Raplab CNC Workshop offers the department’s researchers the opportunity to realise complex units and projects independently. We place great emphasis on training and teaching the basics in the field of machine manufacturing so that the possibilities, opportunities and limitations can be understood and used creatively. With our large flatbed milling machine, workpieces up to 1.25m x 2.5m x 0.4m can be machined, which allows the creation of larger structures for e.g. pavilions and the simulation of complex processes.
The CNC workshop bridges the gap between model and prototype building and is only accessible for Ph.D. students, researchers, or projects of the teaching staff/chairs.
