The Raplab has a large number of different tools at its disposal. Anyone with a Raplab account is authorised to use or borrow them. The most important tools can be found in the Tool Lending Library. For more specialised equipment, don’t hesitate to ask our staff. If there is a justified need, the Raplab can also procure tools.
Plaster, pigments, cement and sand can be bought in the Material Shop. All other required materials like glue, tape, screws, cardboard, wood, etc. must be organized and brought by the students. We gladly help with sourcing materials.
A viable alternative to buying new material is the material exchange in the wood workshop below the disk sanders, the exchange for cardboard in the digital workshop, and la boîte, a student-led recycling and reuse project found on the F-floor (HIL F_41).
Please visit the la boîte website for more information on the project and how you may help reduce waste and protect the environment by working with reclaimed material.
